To the aim of preventing accidents and making appropriate conditions for operation of electric networks, we inform about possible risks arising in relation to inappropriate behavior with electric equipment, visits or work in the life-threatening protective zones of electric equipment, cables or air lines. The protective zones of electric networks are land bands and air space limited by vertical planes on both sides of line at the following distances:

• protective zone of cable: 1 m from outside cables;
• protective zone of electric air lines of up to 1 kV: 2 m;
• for electric air lines of 6-10 kV: 10 m; for electric air lines of 35 kV: 15 m; for electric air lines of 110 kV: 20 m;
• protective zone of transformer substations and distributing points: 10 m around transformer substations and distributing points.

In the protective zones of electric networks it is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN to do the following:

• To perform actions, which can interfere with normal work of electric networks, to come near electric equipment, to damage them and in this manner to be a hazard to one‘s own life and to people round about;

• Unauthorized persons are not allowed to be in the territory of transformers and distributing substations, inside structures meant for transformers, distributing equipment and cable lines, to open doors and manholes of electric equipment, to make changeovers and networkings;

• To throw things on electric cables, to tread on supports, to connect or disconnect electric wires;

• To store any materials, to start a fire, to build reservoirs for fuel and oil, to install sporting  and playing grounds, stadiums, market-places, public transport stops, parking-sites, to arrange events, to fly kites and sporting models of flying apparatus;

• Without permission of network owners to build, repair, reconstruct or destroy any structures and engineering networks, to perform any mining, ground digging, ditch deepening, reclamation, flooding work, to water in a mechanized manner agricultural crops, to install sites for animal keeping, local barriers and metal fences, to plant/cut down trees or bushes, as well as to cut down trees beyond the protective zone, as they may fall on wires and supports, to drive by vehicles and mechanisms, the total height of which, with load or without load, from road surface exceeds 4.5 m in the protective zones for electric air lines or air cable lines; to perform any earthwork deeper than 0.3 m, as well as to smooth earth in the protective zones of underground electric cable lines;

• To equip dumping grounds, to pour waste liquids, to store any materials;

• In towns, settlements, forest parks, farmsteads and gardens, only enterprises of greenery keeping or owners of greenery can cut down and prune trees and bushes after coordination of terms for this work with the distribution system operator, i.e. the VST, AB;

• If greenery keeping enterprises or greenery owners do not prune trees and bushes by terms specified by the VST, AB or agreed mutually, then this work can be done by the organizations operating the electric networks, in this case the VST, AB, by funds of greenery keeping enterprises of greenery owners upon written notification of the latter about the start of work.

ATTENTION
If You have noticed any loose wires of electric air lines, damaged electric equipment, opened doors of transformer substations or cable cabinets or unauthorized persons hanging about such places, please inform us by phone 8 800 20204.
