Already for several years in succession, the Company has been taking care of stork nests.
Since autumn 2005, the Company has
lifted nearly 400 stork nests over the electricity pylons. The Company,
in co-operation with the Ministry of Environment and the Institute of
Ecology of Vilnius University, is searching for the best ways of
preserving stork nests.
The initiative to organise the
campaign of saving stork nests was appreciated by the Ministry of
Environment, which awarded a prize for environment protection to the
Company on the World Environment Protection Day.
